Set during the North African campaign, General Pandemonium receives a frantic call from Foghorn Leghorn about a stolen secret German document, and hurries toward the Carrotblanca nightclub—the Cafe Au Lait Americain—home to Eleanor Roosevelt’s All girl revue, with his friend, Sam Sheepdog. At the nightclub, Tweety, the real thief, engineers a plan and convinces Bugs Bunny to take the incriminating document for himself, setting off a scramble that pulls in a web of rival loyalties and old flame dynamics.
Meanwhile, Sylvester Slaszlo and his wife, Kitty Ketty (Penelope Pussycat), arrive at the club, bringing their own tension into the glow of stage lights and cocktail chatter. Kitty immediately draws the ire of Captain Louis, the onstage alias of Pepé Le Pew, a skunk with a sharp nose for trouble. Yet Kitty’s boldness earns her a fierce punch of attention, and she retaliates with a sharp scratch that sends the captain crashing into a wall. The moment sharpens the stakes: Kitty is Bugs’ ex-girlfriend, and her friendship with Bugs now intersects with the dangerous chase for the document.
As the night unfolds, Kitty Ketty turns to Bugs for help, begging him to look out for Slaszlo and shield him from the general’s suspicions. Bugs—though initially hesitant because of their torn past—steps in and makes a bold move. He navigates the General’s office with a mix of wit and misdirection, ultimately outsmarting the general and turning the tables in a jail-turnaround that buys Slaszlo some time, even as the clock keeps ticking toward a more perilous turn of events.
The plan drives them toward a trans-Atlantic flight, with a route that darts from Toronto to New York City and Cucamonga, looping through Paris as a final convergence point. Peeved but undeterred, Slaszlo and Kitty slip away on the plane, watched closely by Bugs from a distance as the fugitives put miles between themselves and the military commander’s reach. The airline atmosphere crackles with tension and a sense that anything could unfold at any moment, especially as an unspoken attraction between Kitty and Bugs lingers amid the chaos.
On board, the tension peaks when the party discovers Pepé Le Pew stepping into a new role as a steward—Louis—on the same plane. The unlikely setup becomes a dramatic fulcrum: Kitty’s fear flares into action when Pepé’s presence threatens to derail their chances at a safe, unseen escape. An awkward tea service and a reckless heartbeat push Kitty toward a desperate leap, hoping for a parachute that might not be there. In the moment that follows, the skirmish of loyalties, love, and loyalty to friends resolves in a surprising, if chaotic, kiss that momentarily bridges old resentments and renewed affection, just as the parachute unfurls to keep them all in one piece.
Throughout this frenetic chase, the ensemble cast threads together a tapestry of comedic mischief and high-stakes caper-craft. The North African backdrop, the bustling nightclub, and the midair twists create a mood that blends classic cartoon wit with a spy-thriller edge, all anchored by the performances of the core players who bring Penelope Pussycat, Tweety, Sylvester, Daffy Duck, Yosemite Sam, Bugs Bunny, Pepé Le Pew, and the rest of their zany world to life in a way that stays true to the spirit of the original material, while delivering a fresh, theatrical rhythm.
