What Is Cariocas About?
The premise of Cariocas without spoilers.
During a trip to Rio de Janeiro, a filmmaker observes the city's vibrant culture and the men who inhabit it. The film explores themes of physicality, admiration, and sensuality as it follows a voyeuristic journey through the Arpoador area. Brazilian men take pride in their physiques, openly displaying their sculpted bodies, which leads to an exploration of blurred sexual identities and a celebration of the country’s diversity. The experience reveals a unique perspective on masculinity and connection.
