Butterfly Symphony 2013

A young, sensitive music student named Vadeesha Devaminda Wickramanayaka discovers a heartfelt love letter written by the older and more experienced Punya. The accidental find sparks a period of introspection and guilt, as he is unable to deliver the letter to its intended recipient. His attempts to return it ultimately fail, and a mixture of sympathy and burgeoning feelings for Punya inspire him to compose a deeply cathartic song. Over the next two decades, he becomes a celebrated musician, yet his nostalgic memories of Punya impact his personal life. Years later, a chance encounter allows him to finally return the letter, but Punya finds herself feeling a sense of loss.
