Vedant [Delzad Hiwale], a humble tenth-grader at Loyola School Jamshedpur in 1980, falls for Jenny [Apoorva Arora], the daughter of a police officer. Jealous of his rival Ratan Singh Chauhan [Suraj Singh], he tirelessly tries to win Jenny’s affection and musters courage to impress her father, L F Rebello [Ganesh Yadav].

Vedant’s family life centers on a simple domestic world: his mother is a teacher, and his father Mukund Rawat [Sachin Khedekar] works as an engineer at Tata Steel. The mix of affection and pressure at home blinds him a little to the looming board exams, which are around the corner and weigh on everyone.

The story takes a turn with Vidur M. Rawat [Sohail Lakhani], Vedant’s deaf brother, who has just returned from a Delhi hostel after four years. Vidur’s reappearance fills the household with noise and joy, yet it soon yields a moment of confusion: Vidur shuts the door to the house and wanders outside, briefly forgetting that he is deaf. When their parents arrive, Vedant is waiting outside, and the family calls the fire department to help them gain access through the balcony door. Mukund, visibly angered, asserts that Vidur will accompany him on outings, revealing the fragile balance of care and frustration within the family.

The film follows a quiet, bittersweet arc where community, duty, and affection collide. People laugh, fear, and forgive as the siblings navigate a world that is often unfair but deeply human. In time, each member of the circle moves toward new lives, yet Vedant holds onto a tangible memory of a shared moment—a picture of Vedant and Jenny kept at home—as a reminder of possibilities past and the enduring pull of first love.
