The premise of Broken Blade: Scars from an Assassin’s Blade without spoilers.

In Cruzon, all citizens can freely manipulate quartz, a power that fuels everything from projectile weapons to piloting giant mecha called Golems. Rygart Arrow, an “un‑sorcerer” who cannot levitate even a single crystal, lives on a farm with his brother. He receives a summons from his old friend King Hodr, who warns of an imminent war and asks Arrow’s help because an ancient Golem discovered in a mine cannot be moved.
