As Vlad Dracula returns to his realm in 1462, he encounters harrowing news: his beloved wife, Elisabeta, has taken her own life, spurred by false reports of his death. Overcome by a tempest of grief and rage, Vlad seeks solace from a priest of the Romanian Orthodox Church, only to learn that Elisabeta’s soul is condemned to an eternal damnation for her tragic choice. Enflamed by sorrow and fury, Vlad renounces the Christian God, vowing to rise from his grave, empowered by dark forces, to exact a terrible revenge on those who have wronged him.

Fast-forwarding to 1897, solicitor Jonathan Harker becomes ensnared in a malevolent plot as he embarks on a journey to manage the real estate dealings of the enigmatic and reclusive Count Dracula. During his travels to Transylvania, Jonathan encounters his eerie client, who becomes unnaturally captivated by a photograph of Mina Murray, Jonathan’s fiancée. Unbeknownst to him, Dracula harbors an unsettling obsession with Mina, seeing in her the reincarnation of his lost love, Elisabeta.

As Jonathan acclimatizes to the castle, he unwittingly falls victim to Dracula’s brides, who drain his essence while their master departs for England, carrying a vial of soil from his homeland to establish residence at Carfax Abbey. Concurrently, in London, Mina’s close friend Lucy Westenra becomes ensnared in Dracula’s otherworldly allure, her health deteriorating as she falls under his spell, exuding an unnervingly youthful appearance during daylight. As her condition worsens and her demeanor turns increasingly peculiar, a group of determined suitors—including Quincey Morris and Dr. Jack Seward—seek out the renowned and seasoned Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, who recognizes the telltale signs of vampirism afflicting Lucy.

As Mina finds herself caught in a tumultuous bond with Dracula, she wrestles with her burgeoning feelings for him and her loyalty to Jonathan. It’s only upon receiving news from a recovered Jonathan that she resolves to join him in Romania, leaving Dracula in a state of heartbreak and fury, prompting him to transform Lucy into a creature of the night. This harrowing decision initiates a sequence of events leading to Lucy’s tragic end at the hands of Van Helsing and her other devoted suitors.

Once back in London, Jonathan and Van Helsing take the crucial lead in launching an offensive against Dracula’s lair, Carfax Abbey. With the destruction of Dracula’s soil-filled coffins, they make significant strides in their battle against the Count. Meanwhile, Dracula stealthily infiltrates the asylum, his presence revealed only through Renfield’s desperate warnings to Mina. In a grim display of power, he takes the life of her friend before turning his sinister intentions toward Mina herself. Dracula’s confession of Lucy’s murder and his malicious reign instills fear in Mina, yet, it is ultimately her deep affection that leads to her downfall.

When the group mistakenly converges on Seward’s quarters, they find Mina visited by the very creature she detests. In a moment of seduction, Dracula lays bare his intentions to transform her into one of the undead. Although initially resistant, Mina soon finds herself entranced and pleads with Dracula to commence her transformation. The hunters burst in just in time to witness Dracula taking Mina as his bride before vanishing into the void.

With a sense of urgency, the hunters scramble to intercept Dracula’s final box. Van Helsing devotes his attention to Mina, striving to rescue her from the grip of evil. Through hypnotic means and Mina’s connection to Dracula, he uncovers that the Count is journeying to Varna, providing them a fleeting chance to act. The party divides, with one group chasing Dracula’s Romani followers while Van Helsing and Mina hasten toward the Borgo Pass and the castle.

As night falls, Van Helsing and Mina confront Dracula’s brides. Despite his valiant efforts to shield her, Mina finds herself lured by their bewitching chants. In a last-ditch attempt to save her, Van Helsing employs a communion wafer to empower her resistance to her dark nature. The protective ring of fire he conjures serves as a haven against the brides’ lethal seductions.

Dracula’s carriage finally arrives at the castle, pursued relentlessly by the hunters. A fierce conflict erupts between the two factions, resulting in Morris’s tragic demise at the hands of their foes. As Dracula emerges from his coffin at twilight, Jonathan seizes a critical moment to deliver a fatal blow, uniting with Morris to vanquish their adversary.

As Van Helsing and Jonathan escort Mina to safety, they grieve their fallen friend. In the chapel where Dracula had once cast aside God, he lies in his final moments, the curse lifted from him. With one last plea for peace from Mina, he reverts to his youthful visage, only to encounter a swift and unrelenting end at her hand. The flickering candles in the chapel reveal Mina’s liberation from a long-held curse. In a poignant closure, she beheads Dracula, lifting her gaze toward a fresco of Vlad and Elisabeta ascending into heaven, forever united once more.
