Summer arrives in a rural town, and twelve-year-old Marta enjoys playing with her friends—football, swimming, and building their annual cabin. Marta leads the group, being the only girl among them. Their carefree world is disrupted by the arrival of Loren, a sixteen-year-old boy, who shifts the dynamics and introduces adolescence and changing gender roles. As Loren’s presence alters the group’s perception of Marta, she faces a challenge to her innocence and the established rules of their friendship.
