Blind Rage 1976

A bold two-continent caper unfolds as the United States government transfers $15 million to a Manila bank owned by Johnny Duran. In America, Duran is approached by a man named Simpson who offers a bribe to join a plan to steal the funds. Simpson lays out a shocking twist: the heist will be carried out by a team of blind men. To seal the deal, Duran meets each prospective gang member and also recruits Sally, a teacher of blind people, who will help organize and coordinate the operation.

In Manila, Sally extends the recruitment and brings in another key ally, local ex-criminal Ben Guevara. The assembled crew studies the bank layout through a detailed mock-up and undergoes extensive weapons training. On the day of the robbery, the team enters the bank while Sally waits nearby, falsely claiming an engine problem with her van to keep attention off the actual action. The group is conditioned to react to unusual sounds, and the raid quickly escalates as several guards, employees, and customers are shot. Ben is halted by bank guards before he can disconnect the alarm, but during a tense struggle the system is accidentally disconnected. With the alarms down and the cash secured, the gang makes a clean escape, their plan seemingly succeeding.

The aftermath traces the ripple effects of the crime. Police later discover Ben’s cane at the bank and bring him in for questioning. Ben cooperates and directs them to the site where the training and planning took place. The remaining gang members have hidden themselves inside a secret compartment within a fuel tanker and depart just before the police arrive, heading toward the airport. The tanker’s secret compartment begins to fill with leaking gasoline, and as the driver tries to outrun the authorities, the vehicle crashes and explodes in a dramatic, fiery end.

Across the Pacific in Los Angeles, Jesse Crowder is hired to track down Duran. He tails Duran to a tense meeting with Simpson, and when the police move in, Duran makes a daring escape. Crowder closes the distance, pursuing Duran to a rooftop confrontation. The struggle ends with Crowder prevailing, the unconscious Duran being delivered into the custody of the waiting police, and the case moving toward its unresolved, high-stakes conclusion.
