Longtime friends Sarah and Lou embark on an adventurous camping trip to an island, hoping to rekindle dynamics within their group. However, Sarah has a secret plan she has not disclosed to Lou. In an effort to mend a fractured relationship, she invites estranged friend Abby to join them, all under the guise of a dire situation—she pretends to be suffering from terminal cancer to ensure her friends agree to this weekend getaway. As they set out on their voyage, the atmosphere is filled with a mix of excitement and tension.

Once they arrive at the island, Sarah unveils a childhood memento—a “Goonies” map leading to an old cabin. During their excursion, the dynamics of past relationships come to the forefront when an argument erupts between Abby and Lou. Tensions elevate when it is revealed that Lou, in a drunken state, had been intimate with Abby’s then-boyfriend, leaving scars in their friendship even though Abby has moved on to marry someone else.

The adventure takes a turn when they encounter three hunters, one of whom is Henry Wallace, whose brother was once a classmate of the girls. The other two, Derek and Alex, are Henry’s fellow Army friends, fresh from their tour in Afghanistan. The evening unfolds with camaraderie around a campfire, but as drink flows freely, Abby flirts with Henry, leading to an unexpected and tragic turn. When Henry attempts to force himself on Abby, in a desperate bid for self-defense, she inadvertently takes his life with a rock.

The horrifying situation escalates as Derek, overcome with anguish, threatens the women with a gun, prompting them to flee. However, their escape is short-lived as Derek and Alex capture them once more, leading to a tense morning filled with uncertainty—tied up and vulnerable, the women are at the mercy of their captors.

As the daylight breaks, they seize an opportunity when Derek unties Abby to fight her. The three women manage to break free, and they scurry into the woods to evade their pursuers. Eventually, they regroup at the abandoned cabin outlined on their map, hoping to strategize and find safety.

Under the cover of darkness, the girls attempt to locate the men’s boat, only to discover that their escape route has been sabotaged. Unable to swim back after retrieving the unmoored boat and faced with the chilling reality of the night, they decide to take the plunge into the icy waters. Tragically, Sarah hesitates and is shot, leaving the remaining women in shock and grief.

As the girls regroup and confront their painful shared history, they stumble upon a time capsule they buried in childhood. It includes a small pocketknife, which symbolizes their bond and strength as they prepare to fight for their survival against the predators now hunting them.

The following day, courage wells up in Abby and Lou as they plot their attack on the men. The tension thickens when Alex inadvertently alerts Derek to Abby’s stealthy move. A daring distraction by Lou shifts the balance momentarily, allowing Abby to reclaim Alex’s gun, resulting in a shocking climax as she dispatches him.

As the confrontation reaches a fever pitch, Derek escalates his aggression towards Lou, who bravely intervenes despite being gravely injured. The battle culminates with Lou managing to reclaim Derek’s knife, delivering a fatal blow. The wounded friends, now armed with their love and determination, set sail back to safety, forever changed but with a newfound strength forged in the fires of adversity.

Their harrowing journey underscores the themes of friendship, survival, and reconciliation, as the trio learns what it truly means to fight for one another against unimaginable odds.
