To his frustration, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Midford is also traveling on the Campania, forcing him to join the voyage and confront the potential threat alongside her.

On the ill-fated maiden voyage of the luxury liner Campania in 1912, a young earl, Ciel Phantomhive, sails with his demon butler Sebastian Michaelis and the manor’s perceptive footman, Snake, as they chase a dangerous rumor about a covert group known as the Aurora Society. The trip also carries Ciel’s fiancée, Elizabeth Midford, along with her family, and a Grim Reaper named Ronald Knox who travels undercover among the passengers. The story opens with the quiet tension of a voyage that promises luxury but hides a deadly fascination with the dead, a curiosity that will pull the ship into a shadowy world where science, the supernatural, and old grudges collide.
