Bionic Ever After? 1994

Jaime Sommers [Lindsay Wagner] is counseling OSI agent Kimberly Harmon [Farrah Forke], a bionic operative who was severely traumatized on her last mission and begs for help getting out of the OSI. Jaime warns Oscar Goldman [Richard Anderson] that Kimberly is unfit for an upcoming assignment and needs time to heal, setting a cautious tone for what lies ahead. On the way to meet her fiancé Steve Austin [Lee Majors] at his boat, Jaime’s bionic ear malfunctions, dramatically amplifying every sound around her and forcing her to endure painful sensory overload. The couple discusses their wedding plans, trying to hold onto a sense of ordinary happiness amid extraordinary danger.

Later, during a heated, bionically enhanced racquetball match with Steve, Jaime’s right hand begins to fail, giving Steve his first win in years and foreshadowing something more troubling. That night, as Jaime lies immobile in bed, an unknown intruder replaces one of the computer chips in her right arm with a new one labeled “Phase 2,” hinting at a deliberate attempt to upend her balance of power and safety.

At the U.S. Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas, Oscar visits with U.S. ambassador John MacNamara [Alan Sader] and his wife Carolyn [Anne Lockhart], who are preparing to host a ball with guest of honor, tennis star Astaad Rashid [Ivan Sergei]. The embassy gathering is abruptly upended when an armed group led by Miles Kendrick [Geordie Johnson] breaches the building, taking the ambassador, his wife, and their guests hostage. The captors threaten to unleash a nuclear terror—pointing a Scud missile with a nuclear core at the city—unless Rashid is handed over to them. Back in Washington, Jaime explains that her bionic systems are deteriorating, and the idea of losing her abilities threatens not only her career but her wedding to Steve.

Jaime’s worries deepen when she collapses during a counseling session with Dr. Rudy Wells [Martin E. Brooks], who warns that Jaime may suffer neurological damage and could potentially lose her bionic power. In the hospital, Jaime sends Steve away as doctors contemplate a future where she might never be bionic again, forcing him to cancel the wedding in the face of an escalating crisis.

Yet Steve refuses to stand by while Jaime suffers. He asks Oscar for a mission to resolve the embassy siege, and Kimberly Harmon becomes his assigned partner, forging an uneasy alliance between two people who both owe a debt to Jaime’s life-saving tech. Inside the embassy, Kendrick’s team hunts for Rashid while Steve and Kimberly arrive in Nassau and begin coordinating a daring rescue. After drugging Steve with a cup of coffee and cutting open his bionic arm in the same manner Jaime’s was altered earlier, Kimberly’s actions become a critical pivot in the operation.

Dr. Wells uncovers that Jaime’s systems have been compromised by a computer virus, and he resolves to shut down her power supply entirely and replace the infected chips. When Jaime regains consciousness, Wells reveals that he has also been making “improvements” to her bionics, a revelation that unsettles Steve but also signals a way forward. He mentions an associate, Dr. Jason Haviland, who may hold the key to understanding the sabotage, while Connie Haviland [Ann Pierce], Jason’s widow, explains that Haviland’s work and his daughter’s ties to Kimberly might shed light on the mystery.

With Rashid hidden somewhere in the embassy, Steve makes a bold entry by bionically leaping to the water tower where Rashid has been hiding. Kendrick’s men capture Rashid before Steve can reach him, and both Steve’s and Rashid’s bionics begin to fail, leaving them vulnerable in a high-stakes struggle. Kimberly arrives in Nassau with night-vision capabilities, enabling her to move through dark corridors and help Jaime navigate the embassy’s basement. The two allies work together to rescue Steve and the hostages, and as the danger escalates, the city itself sounds a radiation alert.

Oscar dispatches a nuclear containment (NEC) team, while Kendrick’s group outfits themselves in NEC gear to slip away. They attempt to flee in an NEC truck, with Kimberly driving, but Jaime’s growing tactical prowess—enhanced by a new targeting display—allows her to divert the pursuit. She hurls a manhole cover with precision, bringing the truck crashing down. Kimberly warns Jaime about a detonator’s danger, and Steve’s decisive gunfire destroys the remote before the bomb can be activated, averting catastrophe.

In the aftermath, a cautious peace settles over Nassau as the threat dissipates and the hostages are freed. Time passes, and Jaime and Steve’s wedding finally arrives. Dr. Rudy Wells steps into a traditional role by giving away the bride to Steve, who can’t wait to start their life together.
