Surya, Kailash is Vinayaka Naickar’s stepbrother; while Vinayaka is incredibly wealthy, Surya struggles to make a living and survives on a steady stream of monthly support. Manu, Asif Ali, a close friend of Surya, nourishes a dream of becoming a filmmaker and believes in turning his own story into a movie.

One day, Manu crosses paths with the star on a movie set and shares his plan to bring the script to life. The legendary Mammootty listens to the synopsis and urges Manu to complete the script before calling him again. With the prestige of a big-name actor backing him, Manu starts chasing financing. He secures money from a lender named Bhasi, Bheeman Raghu, but disaster strikes when the production assistant runs away with the money, leaving Surya and Manu in a precarious position.

Desperate to repay the debt, Surya fabricates a marriage tale for Vinayaka, claiming he has just tied the knot and needs cash quickly. He even introduces his girlfriend Neethu as his wife to Vinayaka’s sharp-witted advocate, Uthaman, Jagathy Sreekumar. The web of lies tightens when Neethu travels to Bangkok with her father, and Vinayaka himself shows up to confront the situation. In a bid to keep the ruse intact, Surya enlists Manu’s girlfriend Diya, Rima Kallingal, to stand in as Neethu.

But fate complicates matters. When Neethu returns from her trip, the lies multiply, and now Neethu must pretend to be Manu’s girlfriend as well. To maintain the cover, the household hires a servant named Thamara, Urvashi, whom Surya must present as Neethu’s sister to Vinayaka. Thamara, with her own stubborn streak and misunderstandings, starts stirring problems of her own, turning simple deception into a tangle of miscommunications.

As the lies pile up, Surya and Manu scramble to keep the truth hidden. Yet the admission creeps closer: Vinayaka appears to have known all along about the deception, and Thamara is revealed to be Vinayaka’s wife whom he had sent to their home in advance to gather the facts. The layers of deception begin to crack, forcing the two friends to confront the consequences of their fabrications.

In a metafictional twist, Manu reworks Surya’s chaotic real-life tale into a feature script, and the project finally materializes on screen with Mammootty portraying the real-life Vinayakan. The film within the film culminates with Vinayakan’s quiet, approving gesture as he congratulates the on-screen portrayal, sealing a poignant moment where truth, fiction, and livelihood blur together.

Through a tapestry of deceit, ambition, and humor, the story tracks how a circle of aspiring artists, a wealthy patron, and a series of half-truths collide, revealing the fragility of trust and the power of storytelling to transform personal struggles into cinema.
