Yakyu Jubei and Seido High School chase a dream as old as the legend itself: reaching the legendary Koshien Stadium. The team’s hope rests on the return of a star and a new transfer, Matsui Gorilla, whose presence promises a real chance at glory. Yet the mood among the staff turns grave when the head teacher informs them that their very first opponent will be the infamous [Gedo High School], a group with a brutal reputation for crushing every rival. Principal Kocho tries to steady the nerves, but the fear of what lies ahead quickly drains the room of optimism.
