Morning Express ace reporter “Timmy” Blake relies on her wiles and charm to out‑scoop rival papers and please her editor. After the Express receives a tip that a wealthy elderly man was poisoned, Timmy spots the young widow at a nightclub a day later and heads to the town where the death occurred. Her investigation triggers the widow’s arrest, but Timmy isn’t convinced the story is complete and continues digging for the missing angles.
