Secret agent John Steed and meteorologist Dr. Emma Peel are summoned to The Ministry, where the spymaster codenamed Mother explains that the Prospero project—an ambitious effort to influence the weather—has apparently been sabotaged, with Peel singled out as the prime suspect. Peel insists on her innocence and is paired with Steed to uncover the real culprit, while Father, Mother’s staunch second-in-command, openly questions Peel’s mental state, suggesting she suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The case quickly widens beyond a simple accusation as the two partners press into a tangled web of motives, loyalties, and hidden agendas.
