In 1977 near Manawan, a vehicle plunges into a river, killing five Atikamekw people while two Quebecers survive. Police deem it an accident, but families remain with unanswered questions. Inspired by the victims’ relatives, the film blends documentary and fiction in a poetic, choral narrative that involves the families on‑screen and behind the camera, exploring grief, injustice and memory.
