Arbor Day 1936

Spanky Spanky tries to dodge the truant officer and slip away from the Green Street Grammar School, where he is scheduled to participate in the Arbor Day show. Alfalfa Alfalfa urges him to face the day with a bit of courage, but the stubborn tension between them is interrupted when the bluntly persistent truant officer, Smithers, arrives to personally usher both children to school.
