What Is Apparition About?

Nestled deep within a secluded forest, the Adoration convent is home to a community of nuns dedicated to a life of prayer and routine. Their peaceful existence is disrupted when President Ferdinand Marcos imposes martial law, bringing political turmoil and unrest to the region. As violence escalates, the nuns must confront challenging circumstances that test their beliefs and moral compass.

In Los Angeles, a dedicated ghost-hunting crew works on Ghost Sightings but faces a looming threat: their boss, Ms. Simon, warns that the show will be canceled if ratings don’t improve. When a mysterious visitor named Mr. Gaffney shows up, he claims there’s a haunted property back home that needs the crew’s attention. He asks them to “get rid of the ghosts,” but the team leader, Joel, tries to explain that their job is to document, not exorcise. The tension between chasing fame and pursuing truth sets the stage for a much deeper encounter with the supernatural.
