Any Body Can Dance 2 2015

Suresh ‘Suru’ Mukund, played by Varun Dhawan, dreams of becoming a renowned dancer to fulfill his mother’s aspirations. Alongside him is Vinnie, portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor, who aims to be the ultimate hip-hop dancer. These childhood friends from suburban Nalasopara, Mumbai, form a dance team to compete in a national competition titled “Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin.” Unfortunately, their journey takes a downturn when they are disqualified during the grand finale for allegedly copying the Philippine All Stars’ performance, leading the judges to label them as cheaters.

As a consequence, the team disperses in search of jobs. Suru ends up working as a bartender, while Vinnie returns to a beauty parlor, and Vernon, played by Sushant Pujari, goes back to his job as a delivery boy. The stigma of being called cheaters continuously haunts them, and the loss of their angry teammates adds to their misery. Despite these setbacks, Suru is determined to shake off this negative label by striving to win a prestigious hip-hop competition in Las Vegas.

One day, he catches a glimpse of Vishnu, played by Prabhudeva, showcasing his incredible dance skills at the bar, and he tirelessly persuades Vishnu to join them as their choreographer. They then hold auditions and assemble a team, heading to Bangalore for the qualifiers. Though they face the bitter reminder of their previous disqualification, they manage to clinch a victory after Vishnu pleads with the audience for another chance.

However, Suru’s spirits are dampened when Shetty Anna (Murli Sharma), the bar owner, retracts his promise of financial support amounting to Rs. 25 lakhs, which he had earlier pledged during the “Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin” finale. Thankfully, Vishnu secures funding from Crocxz’s (Raghav Juyal) uncle, reviving Suru’s hope amidst his frustration over not being able to gather the necessary funds.

As the excitement builds for their trip to Vegas, Vinod (Punit Pathak), a deaf-mute dancer, uncovers Vishnu’s true intentions for going to Las Vegas, suspecting that he has manipulated Suru and the team to facilitate his own plans. In Las Vegas, they succeed in the qualifiers, but tension arises when Vishnu leaves to reconnect with his son Manu (Jineet Rath) and his ex-wife Swati (Tisca Chopra), who has moved on with her life.

In the meantime, Vinnie incurs an injury from extensive rehearsals and must be replaced by Olive (Lauren Gottlieb). This development unsettles Suru, who is left trying to manage rehearsals solo. However, Vishnu returns just in time to assist Suru against their rivals from the German team, ultimately mending their friendship and earning Suru’s forgiveness. With a renewed spirit, the team pushes through to the finals.

As the climax approaches, Olive starts to develop feelings for Suru, but Vinnie confesses her love for him too. Even though Olive reciprocates Suru’s charm, she respects Vinnie’s sentiments and remains with the team after Vinnie’s return to health.

During the final competition, Vinod’s health takes a turn for the worse, leading to a critical error in their formation. Just as all hope seems lost, Vinod takes responsibility for his condition, and with Suru’s encouragement, they regain their composure and complete their performance successfully, although they fall short of winning against the German team. Ultimately, they capture the hearts of millions, with Suru reflecting on his mother’s wisdom, emphasizing the spirit and dedication of dance.
