Asif Ali as Abhilash (Abhi) is a young architect constantly navigating the job market while chasing a sense of professional purpose. He dreams of steady work, yet his personal life feels crowded by a girlfriend who is equally warm and buoyant. Elizabeth, popularly known as Eli and played by Rajisha Vijayan, is the sunniest presence in his world: sweet, bubbly, and unfailingly kind. She treats Abhi with a care that sometimes feels a little too protective, almost as if she’s tutoring him rather than sharing a partnership. This dynamic, endearing at times and claustrophobic at others, becomes the fulcrum of their relationship. When Abhi grows irritated by Eli’s frequent calls and her constant interference, he makes a difficult choice and ends things, leaving Eli heartbroken but trying to pick up the pieces and figure out how to move forward without him.

Abhi’s father, Raghu, is a stern police officer whose disciplined worldview shapes how he approaches every dilemma. Raghu’s life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with his ex-girlfriend Anuradha, a figure who re-enters his life with unresolved history. Anuradha is portrayed by Kausalya. To complicate matters, Abhi, trying to spare Raghu any painful truth, gives him a fake number, while Eli, sensing Raghu’s loneliness, offers her own number and even pretends to be Anuradha on the other end. What starts as a harmless ruse gradually forges a genuine bond between Raghu and Eli, and this connection works surprisingly well to soften the long-standing tension between Raghu and his wife, Suma. Over time, Eli’s presence loosens the edges of Raghu’s rigid routine and nudges him toward a warmer, more forgiving version of family life.

Meanwhile, Abhi lands a job at a call centre, where one of his old friends, Sony, also works. Sony, played by Naaji, reveals his own feelings for Eli, which adds a complicated layer to the already strained emotional landscape. Abhi finds the call centre world overwhelming and eventually leaves, a decision that unintentionally leaves Eli to confront her own heart without the safety net of their relationship. Sony’s confession—his love for Eli—comes with tenderness, and he steps up to support Eli as she comes to terms with the breakup. He helps her process the pain and, in a surprising turn, eventually proposes to her. Eli accepts the reality of her emotions and the life she wants to build, even if it means moving forward with Sony instead of returning to Abhi.

This tremor in their lives causes Abhi to feel the ache of what he has walked away from. He begins to miss Eli deeply and contemplates the value of what he walked away from. Meanwhile, Eli’s decision to marry Sony is sealed in a way that surprises even him, yet she tries to assure Abhi that he remains an important part of her story. Abhi’s longing culminates in a candid moment where Eli meets him again to acknowledge his significance in her life, even as she begins a new chapter with Sony. It’s a moment of quiet honesty rather than loud victory, a recognition that love can be messy and still teach essential life lessons.

Raghu’s pursuit of Anuradha continues, but a twist arrives when Raghu and Abhi confront the truth together. Eli’s decision, her wedding, and the path she has chosen create a strong undercurrent of regret and reconciliation. Raghu, driven by concern and a stubborn sense of duty, supports Abhi’s vulnerability and urges him to be sincere. In a pivotal turn, Abhi confesses to his father that he loves Eli and believes she might marry someone else if left to fate. Raghu’s response is tempered by care and a desire to see his son happy, not just right or wrong. They rush toward the wedding to try and intervene, but their efforts come too late, and Eli’s marriage to Sony proceeds as planned. Sony, in a scene of quiet gratitude, thanks Abhi for the unspoken care he demonstrated along the way.

In a moment that reveals the enduring complexity of the relationships at play, Raghu and Abhi share a lighthearted realization: the person they once chased was not entirely out of reach, and the journey itself has given them a stronger bond. Raghu then meets Anuradha once more—but this time he discovers that she is not Anuradha, a revelation that leads to a relieved, laughter-filled sigh with Abhi. The two men find a new sense of camaraderie and mutual respect, a rare silver lining in a tangled emotional landscape.

Years later, Abhi and Raghu stand side by side on a new project designed and brought to life by Abhi. They reflect on the winding path of love—how it can fail to deliver the fairytale ending, yet still offer profound life lessons and shapes that endure. The film closes on a note of tempered optimism: love, even when it does not last in the form we expect, leaves people wiser, more compassionate, and better prepared for the futures they build.

  • The story remains grounded in its human center, with each relationship offering a different lens on devotion, pride, forgiveness, and personal growth. The intertwined arcs of Abhilash, Eli, Raghu, and Sony illustrate how love can be imperfect, but its echoes can guide us toward better choices and a kinder outlook on life.
