As a history professor, Michael, portrayed by Harry Connick Jr., once radiated the essence of Christmas cheer during his childhood. However, as an adult, he finds himself far removed from that joyful spirit, much to the frustration of his family. His wife and their 10-year-old son, David, are eager to fill their home with holiday magic during Thanksgiving, but Michael’s reluctance to engage is unmistakable.
