What Is Alone About?
The premise of Alone without spoilers.
Jean, haunted by his mother’s early death and a lost childhood, finds photos that inspire an imagined lover. He names her and waits for her while starting a real affair with Carole, concealing his fantasy. The childless couple who introduce Carole split, highlighting childhood’s influence.
