In 1808, during the Spanish War of Independence, Zaragoza is besieged by French troops. With scarce Spanish forces led by General Palafox, the city's defense seems doomed until Agustina de Aragón steps forward, operating a cannon herself after the gunners flee, rallying the defenders. The film follows her courageous actions, based on historical events.
