Oki, recently released after serving time for driving under the influence and hitting a goat, lands a job at a West Java fun fair in Rawa Senggol, run by [Jongki]. Desperate to land a gig in a Dunk Tank, he soon finds himself fired after accidentally striking a customer. To make ends meet, he teams up with his longtime friends [Boris], [Bene], and [Jegel], and also reconnects with Marlina, a friend he hasn’t seen in a while.
Oki’s immediate goal is practical: he needs money for medicine for his ailing mother and to secure a future grave beside his late father, as his mother has asked. The others have their own pressures: Boris wants funds to share profits while trying to join the army, Bene needs money to prepare for his wedding with Naomi, and Jegel wants cash to settle gambling debts. The haunted house attraction becomes their unlikely avenue to earn, even as the team discovers that the scares aren’t convincing enough to thrill visitors.
Desperation drives a risky move. Oki uses his mother’s certificate to finance a refurbishment, hoping the revamped fright will draw bigger crowds. The first night after the reopening, Basuki—a man hiding from his wife Retno while seeing a younger woman named Intan—enters the attraction and suffers a fatal heart attack caused by the jumpscares. Panic erupts as the four bury Basuki’s body, using a grave prop to mask the death, and the haunted house is shut down for a few days.
Boris receives a troubling call from his mother, who is disguised as a military officer, and Bene and Jegel are compelled to go along with his orders, even as they mock each other to cope. When the attraction reopens, strange happenings unfold: objects move on their own and Basuki’s spirit seems to trigger a series of effects that frighten visitors, including two TikTokers who post a vlog about the haunted house. Amid the chaos, Jegel is left dangling from a rope on the ceiling in his pocong costume, and tension among the group rises.
Retno reports Basuki missing to Chief Tohar, as the police station is moving to a new location. Intan’s presence continues to haunt the affair, and she later spots Basuki’s cap in the viral video. After the police arrive, Chief Tohar detects the oddities in the haunt—most notably Jegel’s urine’s strange role in summoning Basuki’s spirit for the effects—and pays Oki, Boris, Bene, and Jegel for their trouble. Intan confronts them, accusing them of murder, and Boris suggests they use a portion of their savings to help her flee, urging her to stay quiet about Basuki’s death.
A mute janitor named Obet, who witnessed Basuki at the fair on the last night, overhears the mounting conversation and befriends the group, though he remains wary. The quartet tries to keep Obet satisfied by offering extra pay to keep the place clean, but Obet’s fear grows as he senses the danger around them. An accident during a failed attempt to relocate Basuki’s burial spot leaves Obet injured after he falls from a Ferris wheel, and the four scramble to protect themselves as they contribute to the cleanup.
As the plan to hide Basuki’s body in the future grave of Oki’s mother proceeds, the haunted house gains popularity, while the police close in. Two of the visitors stumble upon Basuki’s burial hole, but the body remains unseen while the investigation intensifies. The team travels a precarious line, moving Basuki’s body while crafting explanations for the authorities, and the police eventually uncover a map that reveals the quartet’s plot.
Near the cemetery, the storyline culminates in a tense escape plan and cover-up as the four attempt to bury Basuki in the planned grave and evade justice. Oki receives devastating news that his mother has died, and he realizes how their actions have derailed the family’s hopes. The group is arrested for causing a death by accident.
Two years and four months later, they are released from prison. In a candid reunion, Oki meets his sister, and Boris reunites with his mother, while Bene stares in disappointment as Naomi is not present. They all visit the graveyard to see Oki’s mother’s grave, where Bene encounters Naomi again—though Naomi’s father has strict requirements for a wedding guest list, insisting the event must accommodate at least 3,000 guests, leaving Bene shocked and momentarily speechless. Their road ahead remains uncertain, but the story closes on a note of unresolved futures, friendships tested, and the complex cost of chasing difficult dreams.
