The Sundarbans is the world’s largest mangrove forest, spanning southern Bangladesh and renowned for its rich wildlife, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, crocodiles, and dolphins. For almost five years, pirates have troubled these waters with abductions and poaching, casting a shadow over every voyage into this intricate ecosystem.

A group of children from the Children’s Film Society set out on a journey to the Sundarbans, eager to explore and learn, and they are joined by a blend of poets, writers, and filmmakers, along with volunteers Ratul and Pori Moni as Trisha. This diverse crew brings different perspectives and talents to the expedition, shaping the mood, the discoveries, and the challenges they will face along the way.

The voyage is supported by an ensemble of performers who help bring the trek to life: Azad Abul Kalam, Monira Mithu, Kochi Khondokar, Siam Ahmed, and Shahidul Alam Sachchu. Their presence adds depth to the journey, offering moments of guidance, culture, and mentorship as the children navigate the perilous landscape.

Travel to the Sundarbans is possible only during high tides, so the group must time their approach carefully. Yet the plan goes awry when a low tide leaves their ship stranded, testing everyone’s patience and adaptability. As danger looms, local pirates appear on the horizon, boarding the vessel and taking all aboard as hostages. In this tense moment, the ship’s hidden passenger steps forward with a plan, and the children must rally their wits and collaborate to help execute it.
