Periya Paandi Pandiyan and Chinna Paandi Pandiarajan are two notorious sons of the village cinema theatre owner V. K. Ramasamy. Growing up around the local screens, they learn to navigate small-town loyalties, comic run-ins, and the expectations that come with family honor.

One day, Periya Paandi travels to a neighboring village to meet a girl arranged by his father, but by a twist of fate he lands at the home of Seetha Seetha instead. Both households are expecting a man to visit their daughter at the same hour, and the moment is charged with mischief and mistaken identity. Despite the initial confusion, Periya Paandi feels a genuine pull toward Seetha, and she, in turn, shows a warmth that makes the possibility of marriage seem real.

The situation is complicated when Seetha’s marriage broker arrives and reveals the mix-up: Periya Paandi should have gone to a different girl. The revelation leaves Periya Paandi, Seetha, and Seetha’s parents surprised and a little disappointed, as the plan that started with the father’s arrangement starts to unravel. Back at home, their father, Ramasamy, negotiates a new path by setting a date for his own marriage to Revathi [Revathi], a schoolteacher’s daughter, hoping to stabilize the family’s future through tradition.

Yet Periya Paandi’s stubborn love for Seetha keeps nudging the family toward a fresh, if unusual, compromise. In a parallel turn of fate, Chinna Paandi manages to marry Revathi [Revathi], bringing the two brothers into a more balanced arrangement. And in the end, Periya Paandi seals his bond with Seetha, while Chinna Paandi formalizes his union with Revathi, weaving together two couples who began in confusion but end in mutual happiness.
