Spoilers ahead
Claudia is a high-powered trial attorney who graduated at the top of her class from Harvard Law School and is on the verge of becoming the firm’s first female partner. She believes her life is perfectly in order, centered on career and success, with Thanksgiving looming as a busy milestone on the calendar. The day before their family gathering, her sister asks her to bake a homemade apple pie, a request that rubs against Claudia’s relentlessly scheduled life and her sense that there’s little time for domestic duties.
