
In 1918, as the United States deepens its World I effort, patriotic pressure drives many men to enlist. In a small Texas town, Horace Robedaux wrestles with duty versus staying with his wife Elizabeth and infant daughter Jenny. His father and Elizabeth’s brother push for enlistment, but an influenza epidemic sweeping the town threatens to upend plans.
