We Sing Like a Movie invites you on a sonic journey through the magical soundscapes of cinematic legend and the living traditions of Galicia. Presented by the Royal Philharmonic of Galicia and directed by Javier Fajardo, the film showcases the breathtaking partnership between seasoned musicians and the youthful voices of the “Cantamos!” participatory project, which brings together students from EAEM and the Peque Coro In Crescendo, led by director Catuxa Pita Evia. Through Peter Hope’s dynamic arrangements, the program navigates the evocative realms of Danny Elfman and John Williams—featuring energetic introductions, an ice‑dance interlude inspired by *Edward Scissorhands*, and the unforgettable scores of *Harry Potter* and *The Prisoner of Azkaban* along with a holiday‑spruced “Christmas Songs Only at Home.” The event culminates in a celebration of Galician heritage with traditional anthems such as “Paxariños que voades” and “Vinde galeguiños,” reimagined by Nemesio García Carril and Peter Hope, alongside modern interpretations of “Cradle Song for a Black Princess,” “Win, Win,” and “And roar, roro, my neno.” Join us for a resonant fusion of film music and community singing that keeps Galicia’s collective memory alive through shared performance.
