‘Sisu: Road to Revenge’ Digital & Physical Home Release Dates Announced

The explosive action sequel Sisu: Road to Revenge has officially launched on digital streaming platforms and has set a date for its physical media release. Fans can now purchase the film digitally, with 4K UHD Steelbook, Blu-ray, and DVD versions becoming available on December 16, 2024.

Home Release Details and Bonus Content

The home media release will be packed with exclusive extras for fans. A key bonus feature is a deleted scene that also functioned as an alternate ending for the film, offering a different conclusion to Aatami Korpi’s story. Additionally, the release includes a behind-the-scenes featurette titled “Upping The Ante,” which details the creation of the movie’s intense and violent action set-pieces.

Critical and Audience Reception

Upon its theatrical release in November, Sisu: Road to Revenge was met with strong praise. The film earned an impressive 94% critics’ score and an 88% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with many reviewers hailing it as a top-tier action sequel that successfully expands the franchise. The story continues the journey of Jorma Tommila’s near-indestructible hero as he seeks revenge against the Red Army commander, played by Stephen Lang, who murdered his family.

Directed once again by Jalmari Helander, the film also stars Richard Brake. It has been credited with crafting some of the most inventive and intense fight sequences seen in recent years, solidifying the Sisu series as a major player in the action genre.
