
2002 Toronto International Film Festival Awards
The 27th Toronto International Film Festival ran from September 5 to September 17, 2002, screening 343 films from 50 countries, including 263 feature films with 141 presented in a language other than English. The ten-day festival opened with Atom Egoyan's 'Ararat' and closed with Brian De Palma's 'Femme Fatale'. The awards celebrated a diverse range of cinematic achievements with categories such as People's Choice, Visions, and FIPRESCI distinctions.
