Frank Wyndham Goldie, known professionally as Wyndham Goldie, was a distinguished English actor whose career spanned theatre and film during the mid-20th century. Born on July 5, 1897, in Rochester, Kent, he began his adult life serving his country during World War I as a lieutenant in the Royal Marine Light Infantry, following in the footsteps of his elder brother Maurice who also held a commission in the same Corps. After the war, Goldie established himself as a formidable theatrical talent, coming to prominence at the Liverpool Playhouse where he performed from 1927 until the summer of 1934. During his final year at the Playhouse, he expanded his artistic repertoire by taking on directorial duties, demonstrating his versatility behind the scenes as well as on stage. His theatrical success subsequently led him to London's prestigious West End, where in 1937 he starred in Margaret Kennedy's acclaimed play Autumn, solidifying his reputation as a leading stage actor of his generation.

In his later career, he appeared in the thriller Seven Days to Noon (1950) and the medical comedy Doctor in the House (1954), with his final film role coming posthumously in The Strange World of Planet X (1958) where he portrayed Brigadier Cartwright. Beyond his professional achievements, Goldie was married to Grace Wyndham Goldie, a pioneering and influential television producer, though details regarding children remain unrecorded in available sources.
