Vin Diesel

Mark Sinclair, professionally known as Vin Diesel, is an acclaimed American actor and film producer. Born on July 18, 1967, Diesel's journey to stardom began with his studies in creative writing at NYC's Hunter College which sparked his interest in screenwriting. His multi-faceted career includes acting, producing, writing and directing. Gaining popularity for his role as Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, Diesel's work now spans across numerous franchises including Fast & Furious, XXX, and The Chronicles of Riddick. He has also left an indelible mark in the sphere of voice acting with titles like The Iron Giant and Marvel Cinematic Universe's Groot. Diesel's entrepreneurial endeavors include founding the production company One Race Films, record label Racetrack Records, and video game developer Tigon Studios.

Vin's early life saw him move from California to New York City. He made his stage debut at an early age of seven in the children's play Dinosaur Door, and continued his involvement with theater throughout his adolescence led him to expand his interests to screenwriting. Diesel started his movie career as an extra in the drama film Awakenings in 1990 but struggled to gain substantial roles, leading him to create his own short film, Multi-Facial. Diesel's breakthrough came with his role in Spielberg's 1998 drama Saving Private Ryan. With each subsequent role from voicing the Iron Giant to starring as the anti-hero Riddick, Diesel's career skyrocketed. He continued to captivate audiences with his performances in various high grossing action films, contributing vastly to his image as a leading action star, all the while lending his vocal talents to interesting characters in the animation and video game industry.
