What's After the Movie
Thure Frank Lindhardt, a distinguished Danish actor, gained his professional education at the drama school at Odense Theatre in 1998. Born in Copenhagen, Lindhardt's acting journey began at a tender age of 12, portraying a role in Bille August's film 'Pelle the Conqueror'. His compelling portrayal of a boy with autism in 'A Place Nearby' solidified his breakthrough in Denmark. Over the years, Lindhardt has diversified his acting credentials by taking on roles in movies and series such as 'Into the Wild', 'Angels in Fast Motion aka Nordkraft', 'Brotherhood', 'Love in Thoughts', 'Sugar Rush', 'Princess', 'Rejseholdet', 'Byzantium' and 'Flame & Citron'. His portrayal of Bent Faurschou-Hviid in the movie 'Flame & Citron', narrating the World War II resistance group Holger Danske, is particularly noteworthy. Lindhardt also personified young Swiss Guard Lieutenant Chartrand in the 2009 film 'Angels & Demons', directed by Ron Howard. He received a nomination for a Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Actor and an Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead following his role in 'Keep the Lights On'. He also displayed his versatility on the small screen with appearances in 'The Borgias', where he played Rufio, a ruthless assassin, and 'The Spiral'. In 2015, Lindhardt played Danish detective Henrik Sabroe in the Danish-Swedish TV police series 'The Bridge', returning for its final season in 2018. His talent did not go unnoticed, with him bagging the prestigious Lauritzen Award in 2014.
