Nobuko Miyamoto is a Japanese actress whose career spans more than five decades, beginning with her debut in Lost Sex (1966) and continuing robustly into the 2020s. Born on March 27, 1945 in Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan, she was raised in Nagoya, where she cultivated an early interest in the performing arts before moving to Tokyo to pursue professional opportunities. Her breakthrough came through collaborations with director Juzo Itami, whom she married in 1969; together they crafted a series of critically acclaimed films that cemented her reputation as a versatile and compelling performer.
