Joseph Walsh

Joseph "Joe" Walsh (born 1947-11-20) is an American singer‑songwriter, guitarist, and record producer best known as a member of the rock band the Eagles and for his preceding work with the James Gang. Born in Wichita, Kansas, Walsh grew up in a musical household and began playing guitar as a teenager, eventually moving to Los Angeles in the mid‑1960s to pursue a career in the burgeoning rock scene. His early recordings with the James Gang earned him a reputation for blistering lead‑guitar work and flamboyant stage presence, paving the way for his successful solo career that launched with the 1973 album The Joe Walsh Band. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Walsh released a string of hit singles such as “Rocky Mountain Way” and “Life’s Bounty,” cementing his status as a radio‑friendly rock icon while also contributing songwriting and production expertise to other artists.
