Jesse Garcia

Jesse Garcia, born on December 14, 1982, is a renowned American actor. Widely recognized for his compelling performances in films like Quinceañera and Flamin' Hot, he has etched a significant mark on the film industry. Garcia shot to fame with his role in the award-winning film Quinceañera, which was skillfully written and directed by Wash Westmoreland and Richard Glatzer, with the respected Todd Haynes as the executive producer. The film turned heads at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, bagging both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award in the Dramatic Independent Feature Competition. It was also chosen for the 2006 Berlin Film Festival. Garcia's depiction of Carlos, a troubled gay teenager, in Quinceañera, won him Best Actor at the 2007 ALMA Awards. Jesse Garcia was born and brought up in Rawlins, Wyoming. Despite his fame, he has remained true to his roots, cherishing his childhood memories in Hanna, Wyoming. Raised as a Jehovah's Witness, he no longer practices the faith. He hails from a family with strong cultural ties - his father is from the Mexican state of Durango, and his Spanish and Mexican mother was born in Wyoming.
