Elena Radonicich

Elena Radonicich (born 5 February 1985 in Moncalieri, Piedmont) is an Italian actress whose career spans theatre, television, and film, earning her a reputation for versatility and emotional depth. Raised by an Italian father of Slavic‑German ancestry and an Italian mother, she was exposed early to a multicultural household that nurtured her artistic instincts, leading her to pursue formal training at Rome’s prestigious Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, from which she graduated in 2009. Her professional debut came in 2005 on stage, where she honed her craft for six years before transitioning to screen roles, first appearing in the television series Stracult (2008) and the modest feature All at Sea (2011) directed by Matteo Cerami. The following years saw her tackle challenging characters, such as the young mother Emma in Tutto parla di te (2012) and the determined Laura in Italo (2014), illustrating her capacity to portray both vulnerability and strength. In 2015 she expanded her cinematic repertoire with Alaska and the critically acclaimed road‑movie Banat – The Journey, while also starring in the biographical TV miniseries Luisa Spagnoli (2016). Her performance as policewoman Stella Mariani in Carmine Elia’s La porta rossa (2017) and her role as Enrica “Puny” Rignon in Fabrizio De André – Principe libero (2018) further cemented her status in contemporary Italian media. That same year, she appeared in In My Room, which was selected for Cannes’ Un Certain Regard competition, highlighting her growing international presence. Beyond acting, Radonicich balances her career with motherhood; she and actor Gaetano Bruno welcomed their daughter Anna in 2015. Continually evolving, she remains active in both film and television, with upcoming projects such as The Great Ambition (2024), confirming her sustained relevance in the Italian entertainment industry.
