Elena Anaya

Elena Anaya Gutiérrez, better known as Elena Anaya, is a highly respected Spanish actress with a prolific career, best recognized for her appearances in movies like Sex and Lucia (2001), The Skin I Live In (2011), and Wonder Woman (2017). Her role in Sex and Lucia earned her public recognition and a thrilling nomination for the Goya Award. She bagged this award for Best Actress after her outstanding performance in The Skin I Live In. Some of her other prominent roles include playing one of Dracula's brides in Van Helsing (2004) and the Spanish tourist in Room in Rome (2010). At the dawn of her career, Elena moved to Cádiz to train as an actress, securing roles in África and Familia. She first came under international spotlight in 2001 after performing in Sex and Lucia, and in 2004, she was recognized as one of the European films' Shooting Stars by European Film Promotion. Her career took an exciting turn when she starred in Justin Timberlake's music video, 'SexyBack' in 2006. After a somewhat 'quiet' period, she made a victorious return to the limelight with a leading role in 2010's Room in Rome and tandemly working with Almodóvar again in 2011's The Skin I Live In. The year 2017 brought her much acclaim as she played Doctor Poison in the famed superhero movie, Wonder Woman.
