He attended Emerson College in Boston, where he established the Emerson Comedy Workshop and later taught comedy-writing classes. His works have extended beyond just entertainment, with notable contributions to fundraising through the Leary Firefighters Foundation, which he founded in response to a fatal fire incident in his hometown.
