Daiki Yamashita

Daiji Yamashita (born September 7, 1989 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture) is a prolific Japanese voice actor and singer affiliated with Arts Vision. He entered the industry in 2012 after graduating from a voice acting training school, quickly securing supporting roles in series such as Blue Spring Ride and Yowamushi Pedal. His breakthrough came in 2016 when he was cast as Izuku Midoriya, the determined protagonist of the wildly popular shonen anime My Hero Academia. The performance earned him widespread acclaim for capturing Midoriya’s blend of youthful optimism and growing resolve, and it secured his position as one of the leading seiyū of his generation. In the same period, Yamashita expanded his repertoire by portraying Sakamichi Onoda in Yowamushi Pedal, Narancia Ghirga in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, and Goh in Pokémon Journeys, demonstrating remarkable versatility across action, sports, and adventure genres. His distinctive vocal tone and ability to convey emotional nuance have made him a frequent choice for both main and supporting characters in television anime, OVAs, and feature films.
