Chelsea Field

Chelsea Field (born November 20, 1957) is an American actress whose career spans more than three decades, beginning in the mid‑1980s after a successful stint as a dancer on the popular music television show Solid Gold. Raised in Mobile, Alabama, Field moved to Los Angeles to pursue performance opportunities, quickly transitioning from choreography to on‑screen work. One of her earliest television appearances was a guest role on the iconic action series Airwolf, where her charisma and athletic background made a memorable impression. In 1987, she achieved cult‑status by portraying the warrior princess Teela in the feature film adaptation of Masters of the Universe, a role that showcased her blend of physicality and comedic timing and cemented her place among fans of the genre. Throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, Field built a diverse résumé with guest spots on series such as Magnum, P.I., The A‑Team, and Walker, Texas Ranger, displaying a versatility that would become a hallmark of her career. Her early film work also includes supporting parts in The Big Picture and Lords of the Deep, further highlighting her adaptability across both television and cinema.
