Chase Williamson

Chase Williamson (born July 7, 1988) is a dedicated American actor and film producer, who launched to fame for his role as David Wong in the film 'John Dies at the End' (2012). He was born in Coral Springs, Florida, but he moved to San Diego and later Texas during his younger years. His initial interest in acting was kindled during his high school years when he took part in speech tournaments, compelling him to choose acting as his career. Chase has been actively participating in theater most of his life, which led him to the University of Southern California's theater school, nurturing his intent to become a professional stage actor. He faced his first few weeks after graduating from USC with an audition that won him his role in 'John Dies at the End', making it his first in professional film. The film was well-received and had its premiere at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, featuring other notable actors like Rob Mayes, Clancy Brown, and Paul Giamatti. Following his successful film debut, Williamson further engrossed in the acting scene, acting in Spring Awakening, a stage musical where he played Moritz. His acting in Spring Awakening received positive reviews, with some critics calling him the standout performer. His acting prowess carried him to star in the superhero noir film Sparks in 2013, a film based on the graphic novel of the same name. The film reunited him with Clancy Brown and included stars like Ashley Bell, William Katt, and Jake Busey. The film premiered at the 2013 Cinequest Film Festival and later released digitally and on DVD. Williamson also joined the cast of Video Game High School in the same year and co-starred in The Guest in 2014.
