Anne Consigny

Anne Consigny is a renowned French actress who was born on 25th of May, 1963. She began her acting career in 1981. Her on-screen portrayal of characters are lauded by critics, ultimately making her a prominent figure in the film industry. She was nominated for the prestigious César Award for Best Actress for her performance in Not Here to Be Loved in 2005. She is also recognized for her roles as Claude in the 2007 drama The Diving Bell and the Butterfly and Elizabeth in the 2008 film A Christmas Tale, earning her another nominee slot for the César Award for Best Supporting Actress. Born into the family of Pierre Consigny, the head of cabinet for the Prime Minister Maurice Couve de Murville, she grew up with five siblings. One of her brothers is the writer and publicist Thierry Consigny, who wrote La Mort de Lara. She has two children, Vladimir Consigny, born in 1988, who is also an actor, and Louis, born in 1994, with French film director Benoît Jacquot. They were partners for some time before she married art critic Éric de Chassey in 2013.
