Wellness Liaison: Overview
A Wellness Liaison is a non-clinical coordinator who helps crew navigate benefits (EAP, counseling), rest facilities, lactation rooms, and schedule accommodations. On lower-budget shows, the role may be combined with production management; on larger shows it sits with HR or the Mental-Health Coordinator’s team.
Wellness Liaison: Practical Functions
- Resource Navigation: Explains how to access teletherapy, crisis lines, or local clinics; manages QR codes on call sheets.
- Environment Setup: Quiet rooms, hydration stations, sunscreen, ear protection near loud environments.
- Fatigue Management: Monitors turnaround and meal penalties; advocates for safer call times in extreme conditions.
- Family & Accessibility: Lactation schedules, disability accommodations, and prayer spaces arranged discreetly.
Metrics and Accountability
Track utilization (de-identified) and common blockers; report back to production for continuous improvement. Success is measured in fewer sick days, lower turnover, and positive climate surveys.
