Sunny, a young priest, is assigned to a quiet rural church that runs an old‑age home funded by a powerful patron, Vavachan. As Sunny settles in, he begins to see the hidden costs of the “philanthropy” and the way fear and complicity keep the operation running.

In the days that follow, Sunny crosses paths with Sophie, a figure who embodies the conflict between duty and morality. Through her, he learns that many of the residents at the home are not Christians, yet they are welcomed and preserved to serve the cash‑for‑cadaver enterprise. The revelation unsettles Sunny, who starts to question the true price of Vavachan’s generosity and the church’s complicity in a system built on secrecy and fear.

Sunny also forms a connection with Annie Mol, the daughter of the church’s grave digger who dreams of following in the footsteps of Mother Teresa. He offers to help her pursue nursing studies in Bangalore, hoping to steer her life toward something noble and humane. But Annie Mol’s path quickly becomes entangled in tragedy. She witnesses a brutal act: an elderly woman suffocated by Vavachan’s son, a moment that compels her to tell Sophie and Sunny. They urge her to go to the police, but fear for her life and her father’s safety forces her to hesitate, and she begins to prepare for a dangerous departure to Bangalore.

As Sunny digs deeper, he uncovers the full extent of the rot: the home’s “care” is a cover for harvesting cadavers for the medical college, and many of the residents are exploited to feed the body‑snatching operation. He contemplates going straight to the Bishop to expose everything, but a calculated smear campaign launched by Vavachan targets Sunny and Sophie. The campaign claims an inappropriate affair between Sophie and Sunny, resulting in Sophie being expelled from the church. The crisis drives Sunny to make a radical choice: he leaves the priesthood to become Sophie’s protector and partner.

Despite the backlash from the village, Sunny and Sophie stand their ground, insisting on their innocence and the truth of what they’ve uncovered. Pokkiriyachan intervenes at a critical moment, helping Sunny secure a job at a resort where he can perform in a band while Sophie becomes pregnant. The couple’s struggle deepens the film’s moral complexity, showing how ambition, faith, and desperation pull people in conflicting directions. Annie Mol’s life, too, spirals toward hardship: she becomes entangled in poverty and ends up driven to desperate measures, taking on a perilous path to survive.

A harrowing confession from Annie Mol’s father adds another layer to the mounting tragedy. He reveals that Annie Mol was caught in a raid, and, when she learned her father knew, she chose to end her life—and her father followed soon after. Sunny resolves to deliver the evidence he has gathered to the Bishop, but the police intervene first, seeking to question him about the deaths surrounding Annie Mol and her father. Sophie, steadfast in her resolve, passes a copy of the key evidence to the Inspector, who in turn shares it with Vavachan.

In the ensuing fallout, Pokkiriyachan secures Sunny’s release on bail and Sunny openly confesses everything he knows to Pokkiriyachan. The investigation takes a darker turn when Sunny returns home to find Sophie fatally shot. Fueled by grief and rage, he hunts down Vavachan’s son and kills him, leaving a trail of broken bodies in his wake. He then reveals the full truth of Sophie’s murder and himself to Vavachan, only to learn that Vavachan’s grandson witnessed the final, brutal events. The boy’s fear gives way to prayer and a fragile, compassionate moment as Sunny and the boy share a quiet, understood embrace, the weight of the past giving way to a fragile glimmer of humanity in the midst of a sorr y cursed world.
