Vishnuvardhana, the son of a laundry owner Puttayya, idolizes Dr. Vishnuvardhan and spends time with his astrologer friend Shastri (Nimbehannu). He dreams of wealth, but prefers it without hard work, chasing shortcuts that seem to glitter more than the traditional path. One day, while delivering clothes to a colonel’s house, he meets the colonel’s daughter, Bharathi, and a spark of love ignites. Bharathi wants to marry a doctor, so Vishnuvardhana and his quirky mentor set out to meet the renowned doctor Dr. Surya Prakash at Mallige Hospital, where Vishnuvardhana tries to win her affection by pretending to be a doctor.

A street-level clash with a local goon pulls Vishnuvardhana into a larger web. His constable uncle intervenes at the police station, and they discover they’re tangled with the dreaded crime boss Adhishesha. The tension tightens when Adhishesha’s associate Wahab mentions a contract to eliminate a man named Gulchand at Mallige Hospital and a ₹5 crore payout. Seizing a rare opportunity, Vishnuvardhana steals Adhishesha’s Blackberry, uses the information to orchestrate a money transfer, and hides the cash in a bike locker after guiding the payment to a nightclub setting.

A tense cat-and-mouse game unfolds as Adhishesha, realizing his phone is missing, hunts Vishnuvardhana with the help of the police. The plot thickens when Adhishesha’s associate discovers a secret video on the phone, a lever that could expose him. The ACP Muni becomes an instrument in this game as he pursues the thief, and Vishnuvardhana narrowly escapes capture.

Vishnuvardhana’s path crosses with Meera, a woman who knows about his crypic gambit. She tells him he must kill Adhishesha within 24 hours or she will reveal his identity. Meanwhile, Dr. Surya Prakash hands Vishnuvardhana another contract that pits him against the very man he’s running from, confirming that danger is a two-way street. To complicate matters, Vishnuvardhana and Shastri decide to keep the phone out of sight as Adhishesha’s henchmen press their attack on his father. Vishnuvardhana learns of Dr. Surya Prakash’s own plan and the ticking clock surrounding the threat to his life. Meera reappears at Adhishesha’s house, revealing another 24-hour deadline and a chance to settle old scores.

The truth begins to surface as Vishnuvardhana confesses his real identity to Bharathi and to the Colonel (played by Dwarakish). The Colonel forgives him after Vishnuvardhana saves Bharathi’s sister from a miscarriage, a moment that softens the edges of deceit with a life-and-death rescue. Vishnuvardhana then pretends to know the culprit’s face and takes refuge at Adhishesha’s house, pressing into the labyrinth of loyalties and betrayals.

In a pivotal confession, Meera reveals her painful past: she loved Adhishesha and left her family for him, only to be betrayed. Adhishesha drugs her, and the ACP strikes a deal with him—exoneration in exchange for a sexual arrangement that Meera never consented to. The grim truth comes to light when Adhishesha secretly records the ACP’s actions, a revelation that Meera has kept hidden until now. Torn between old wounds and a chance for justice, Vishnuvardhana agrees to help her, leveraging the threat of the video to force the ACP’s hand and to protect Meera from further harm.

As the story builds to its climax, the truth about who pulled the strings begins to crystallize. The plan culminates in a violent confrontation where Vishnuvardhana’s cunning and will are tested to the limit. The ACP, trying to outmaneuver his adversary, finds that Vishnuvardhana has learned his moves and uses them against him. A dramatic turn of events—and the discovery of security footage—exposes the mastermind, shifting the balance of power.

In the final standoff, Adhishesha and the ACP are killed, and Vishnuvardhana barely escapes a lethal Mexican standoff. The smoke clears, and a weary peace settles over the uneasy alliance between Vishnuvardhana and Shastri. With the dangers behind him, he steps back from the edge of greed and violence, choosing a path that promises a steadier, if harder, form of happiness. The film closes on a note that suggests redemption is possible even for someone who once chased fortune through deception, reconciliation with old mentors, and a renewed sense of purpose.
