Koti, a man who is deaf-mute, lives in the coastal town of Kanyakumari with his caring sister Devi. Orphaned during the devastating 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, they are rescued by a compassionate local priest and find refuge in the village. Despite his physical limitations, Koti has a deeply ingrained sense of justice, especially when it comes to the safety and dignity of women. His strong sense of right and wrong often compels him to use his physical strength to punish those he perceives as wrongdoers, which frequently gets him into trouble and clashes with the law.

Textina, a lively local guide, has carried a secret crush on Koti since childhood. Although he remains mostly indifferent to her feelings, Tina is persistent, often teasing him and trying to garner his attention. Koti, on the other hand, reacts with frustration and even physical aggression when Tina pushes his buttons, but she remains undeterred. Despite the disapproval of her parents, Tina continues to pursue her affection for Koti. She often helps him with small chores, like shutting down a nearby wine shop that had been operating illegally near the church, which cements her caring nature.

Over time, Koti begins to develop genuine feelings for Tina, especially with the companionship and support of Devi and Tina herself. With their encouragement, Koti is able to secure work as a security guard and helper at Mira Orphanage, overseen by Saradha Devi. At the orphanage, Koti bonds deeply with the children, particularly the visually impaired girls, who give his life new meaning. His protective instinct intensifies when he learns about the exploitation the girls face. One day, Koti discovers three workers abusing the girls’ disabilities by secretly voyeur-ing them during bathing. Filled with rage and a sense of justice, Koti takes the law into his own hands and murders two of the offenders.

In a surprising and controversial move, Koti voluntarily surrenders himself to the police, shocking Devi, who disapproves of her brother’s resort to violence. During the trial, Koti refuses to give the reasons for his actions when questioned, which frustrates the judge. An investigation is launched by DSP Kathiravan to uncover the truth behind the murders. Despite attempts to use narco-analysis, even under sedation, Koti remains silent, determined not to reveal what motivated his actions. The psychiatrist, concerned about Koti’s wellbeing, refuses to deepen the sedation, leaving the case without concrete evidence.

This lack of proof leads to Koti’s release on bail, but his obsession with finding the third perpetrator—who had escaped—pushes him further into the realm of violence and revenge. Devi grows increasingly distressed, fearing the dangerous path her brother is on. Meanwhile, [Kathiravan] digs into Koti’s past and uncovers a startling fact: Devi is not his biological sister. He manipulates Devi emotionally, hoping she can coax Koti into revealing the entire story. Despite their best efforts, Koti remains tight-lipped, fearing that any disclosure might tarnish the dignity of the visually impaired girls or threaten their safety.

Eventually, Koti locates the third culprit and kills him in a brutal act of justice after castrating him, further complicating the case. This act raises alarms in the community and among the authorities, as the killer was already out on bail for previous murders. The investigation shows that the three victims had, in fact, engaged in misconduct with the girls, which is revealed through recordings of narco-analysis sessions. These findings are presented to the court, along with testimonies from the survivors, which ultimately lead to the judge’s decision to release Koti. He is freed from custody, as the evidence points to the crimes being motivated by protection and justice rather than malice.

The return of Koti to the community is met with celebration, yet grief lingers in the heart of Devi. Unaware of her brother’s true motives and the sacrifices he made, Devi’s fears and misunderstandings result in her tragic decision to take her own life, believing that Koti might be sentenced to death. Her death leaves Koti devastated, torn between his love for his sister and his relentless pursuit of justice, highlighting the tragic cost of his unwavering sense of morality and the complex interplay of truth, vengeance, and remorse.
