Beth, Tabrett Bethell is an expectant mother traveling with her fiancé Cameron Andy Whitfield. After a tense, near miss on the highway, the couple checks into a quiet motel in a small town, hoping for a little rest and a chance to regroup before the arrival of their baby. The moment of peace is brief; Cameron returns from a stroll to find Beth missing, and the police soon arrest him for assaulting the motel owner. He tries to escape, but his flight ends in tragedy as he dies in a car crash, leaving Beth’s fate suddenly uncertain and the mystery of what happened to her unborn child only deepening.

Beth wakes up naked in a cold, corrugated warehouse, lying in a bath tub filled with ice and bearing a visible C-section scar. Her first breath is swallowed by panic as she realizes her baby has been stolen. She staggers outside into a bleak, industrial surroundings and discovers she is not alone—three other mothers, also emptied of their unborn children, wander the night in fear. their desperate search for answers leads them to a badly injured woman, barely conscious and with her womb opened, who utters a chilling clue: her child is ‘blue.’

The mothers soon learn a horrifying truth: their babies are alive, kept in cages, each one secured with a colored clip that matches a tag sewn into the real mother’s abdomen. The only way to determine which baby belongs to which mother is to surgically remove the tag from the abdomen, a procedure that guarantees fatal blood loss for the mother. The group devolves into a brutal contest, and paranoia, suspicion, and desperation push them toward violence. One mother turns to murder to secure a child, and Beth must navigate a maelstrom of fear and guilt as the bodies pile up. When the killer corners Beth, she fights back, injuring her would-be executioner. The last remaining threats fade as the killer dies, but not before she warns Beth that the remaining tag must be removed or another tragedy will unfold in the shadows. Beth makes a grim pledge to protect the baby, but the killer’s death leaves Beth powerless and unconscious.

Beth regains consciousness to a new horror: she is chained to the floor, and a Russian couple—Slava Orel as the Russian Man and Inga Romanostova as the Russian Woman—stands nearby, inspecting her baby with clinical detachment. They reveal the operation’s shattering truth: the prospective parents are chosen not by love or luck but by the mothers’ performance during the experiment; the “winning” mother’s child is the one set for adoption. The woman who runs the scheme flees with Beth’s baby, leaving Beth to confront the cold arithmetic of the scheme in which motherhood is a commodity. Beth frees herself and races to stop the perpetrator, only to realize something even more devastating about her own past: she herself was a baby snatched from this very facility and placed with adopters years earlier.

Fueled by a mix of fury, resolve, and a fierce maternal instinct, Beth exacts retribution on the operator and escapes with her child. The narrative moves months forward, and the emotional weight lingers as Beth visits the grave of her biological mother and contemplates the man she believes could be her biological father, a quiet, searching moment that threads together the tangled strands of identity, fate, and the dream of family. In the end, the film lingers on Beth’s tough, hard-won resolve to guard her child and the ache of a life rebuilt from shattered beginnings, a stark reminder that truth can be as fragile as the lives it seeks to protect, yet love can still find a way to endure.
