When he resurfaces, he stirs up a ruckus at the tables, scattering dishes and diners in his wake, and after a tense scramble he retrieves the ring—only to discover his tongue stuck in an ice sculpture, a comic predicament that keeps the action hopping.

Meanwhile, Maximus charges after the other ring, weaving through racks of dresses, shoes, makeup, and hats. In the chaos, a male horse mistakes the dashing horse for a bride-to-be and attempts courtship, only to be politely but firmly ignored as Maximus presses on. Pascal’s tongue-free escape turns slapstick as he tumbles into a waiter’s foot, knocking loose a chain of events that sends lintels and ice flying through the air like improvised projectiles. The result is a dramatic catapult moment as the ice sculpture, with Maximus perched on it, is sent streaking toward the windows of the ceremony.

The chase continues as Maximus drops into a carriage and keeps pursuing the ring, while Pascal makes another dash and ends up on a girl’s lantern—only to realize the lanterns are hundreds in number, turning a simple retrieval into a dizzying climb among floating lights. The misinterpretation sparks the release of a flock of doves and a cascade of lanterns that fill the night air with soft, fluttering movement.

Back on solid ground, the chase leaves a frantic trail: Maximus lands with a thud, and a hook end of the ring’s resting place triggers a sequence in which barrels of juice roll and chase the duo. Cornered by a blaze of flame, Maximus improvises a cunning slingshot from a decoration, hurling Pascal into the air in a last-ditch effort to snatch the second ring. Pascal overshoots the mark and relies on his agile tongue to snatch the prize from midair, completing the two-ring collection.

With both rings finally secured, the pair tumble into a tar-filled factory setting, where the priest completes the ceremony in a most unusual fashion. Pascal and Maximus stand, coated in tar, and present the rings to the faithful. The priest solemnly pronounces them husband and wife, followed by a kiss that radiates relief and celebration through the crowd. Just as the cheers swell, a lighthearted mishap occurs: Maximus accidentally nudges a cake trolley and it rolls away from the castle, adding one final note of wedding-day chaos to an unforgettable, fantastical day.
